Our Terms of Engagement

First, we need to make it clear you will need to supply the vehicle in which to complete the practical driving sessions and you will be responsible for all costs associated with the operation of that vehicle. Also, we only deal with full licence holders, but if you are a learner driver, who has a panic attack when driving, please make contact as we may be able to point you in the right direction.
Three Stages For Dealing With Road Anxiety Disorder
The Ride Drive process of dealing with general road anxiety disorder and acute road fear is to follow the following three stage recovery programme.
Stage One
We begin with an initial telephone consultation, during which we make a low–level assessment as to whether it is appropriate to engage with you. We also provide information that will help you to understand the condition of general road anxiety disorder, or acute road fear, and what may cause you to have a panic attack when driving. This information and time is given completely free of charge, and without obligation.
You will be informed at the beginning of the telephone consultation that you are not permitted to make a booking during that call, but take the information away with you. If you then sleep on it, and call back the next day to progress your enquiry to the next level, that is the time we can go to stage–two below.
Stage Two
Now you will be assigned to a member of the Ride Drive team operating in your home area (or close to) who has been trained to deal with road anxiety disorder and acute road fear. He or she will make contact by telephone to discuss your issues and to make an appointment to meet. This may be at your home address, or on neutral ground if you prefer.
At the first session you will have the opportunity to discuss face to face the nature of your road anxiety disorder or acute road fear, and perhaps what makes you have a panic attack when driving.
The time allocated to this first driving session is 4–hours and will include any travelling time we have to use to get to and from the meeting point. Don’t worry if 4–hours sounds a long time, as it will fly by, as there is a lot to be done.
At the end of the first practical driving session we are going to be in a well–informed position to assess if it is appropriate for you to continue with us. Unless your trainer is 99.9% sure he or she can meet with your expectations, then you will not be able to book any more appointments – at least until we have discussed the matter and agreed if there is a way forward.
We are not in business to exploit your misfortune, or to regard your road anxiety disorder issues purely as a source of income. There are plenty of organisations that will do that for you perfectly well, but Ride Drive is not one of them. Our primary objective is to reduce the effects of road anxiety disorder so you do not have to worry about a panic attack when driving. Beyond that, very little else matters.
Stage Three
As stated above, it is only if we are extremely confident we can resolve the road anxiety disorder, or the acute road fear you experience, will we be willing to progress any further.
Typically we will build an action plan with you, as determined by what we have witnessed during stage–two above and in consultation with you. In most cases this will consist of regular practical driving sessions of no less then 2–hours each. Between those driving sessions you will be expected to carry out tasks and reach objectives that will be set for you at the end of each meeting.
The amount of time that lapses between driving sessions, the length of sessions and for how long you continue working with us, will be totally decided upon by you. The effectiveness of the practical driving sessions when dealing with road anxiety disorder and acute road fear is constantly monitored and reviewed to make sure that you are always getting the best value from us in terms of your development. Between driving sessions you will have access to unlimited email and telephone support, all of which is available at no additional cost.
No obligation or contract to keep going, but you will need a lot of personal commitment to fight road anxiety disorder
When you ask Ride Drive for help in beating your road anxiety disorder issues, or acute road fear, we need to make it clear that you are not asked or expected to sign up to any agreement, contract or any other binding condition that obligates you to come back for more driving sessions. We only want you to keep coming when you are motivated by your own desire to succeed, and that no matter how tough it gets, you want to keep fighting.
You are not asked to pay up–front, as shortly before the date of your first driving session you will receive an invoice, which asks you to settle the account after you have completed the initial driving session with us.
If you continue beyond your first session of the Ride Drive road anxiety disorder programme, you will be invoiced at the end of each calendar month for however many driving sessions you have completed within that month. At no time are you asked for any money or to make any promise in advance.
We do not list our costs on these pages, as we are well aware that our presence in the market place does create a great deal of interest, a lot of which comes from other commercial organisations. However, we do have a standard rate for dealing with road fear issues and will be very willing to divulge this information during your initial free telephone consultation.
